.: Files with descriptions
This is where the file areas that have an html page are
linked to allow you to search/examine a file description
associated with the file name. Ideally Google will
index these pages and provide a more comprehensive, keyword
based download guide here.
The indexing is an on-going process. If you can't
get to the directory your trying to get to, it probably
hasn't been indexed yet. Please use the "Raw Directory
Browse" on the left side of the page. Estimated time
to "finish" automatic indexing maybe after 27 Feb 2008.
Any thing that didn't index will require custom
intervention.

.: Files Downloads
There are 2 kinds of servers available for
downloads from here. The web server provides a basic
"directory browse" (Http Raw Directory Browse and
Downloads) that lets you "see" and download every file
that is physically present. It also makes it possible for
you to have 25 connections going at the same time. Please
limit your self to 3-5 connections to give other file downloaders
some band-width. I am working on getting "bbs to html"
software that will allow the files.bbs or equivalent of each
sub-directory to be displayed. This will allow you and
Google to associate file names with file descriptions so you can
search and review the information more easily.
The FTP server provides both anonymous
downloads and registered user access so I can do uploads as well
as file maintenance. It also limits anonymous downloaders to 2 or
3 connections from the same IP address. If I could trust
Google to index via the FTP server I would probably drop the http
access. I currently am getting very good transfer
speeds and volume limits. I don't want to abuse them.
Disclaimer: You hold me and mine harmless
from "anything" that you download from this system. Anything
could be a file, a virus, or any other "information."
I try to catch viruses but I make no guarantees.
If you want to upload a file or
donate a copy of a freeware/shareware cd-rom I
don't have, please contact me.
